BOMBSHELL RUMOR: Kansas City Chiefs On The Verge Of A Massive Draft Day Blockbuster

The Kansas City Chiefs have made multiple moves in the 2026 NFL offseason, with several players leaving and new talent added to revamp the roster. They will have a revamped roster as they try to bounce back from a disappointing 6-11 record in 2025.

General manager Brett Veach made a huge splash in free agency. Kansas City added Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III to the roster. They could make more moves in the upcoming NFL draft, and a big trade could be in the cards.

The Chiefs enter the draft with the No. 9 overall pick, but they could leave night one with a higher selection.

Four days before the 2026 NFL draft, the Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly considering a trade into the top three. Johnny Venerable wrote on Saturday that the AFC West engaged in trade talks with the Arizona Cardinals for their No. 3 pick.

“There’s growing speculation that the Kansas City Chiefs have had trade talks with the Arizona Cardinals about acquiring the third overall pick. Notable Chiefs draft picks: 9, 29, 40 and 74,” Venerable shared.

Going up to the top three would allow the Chiefs to land a defensive difference-maker. They could make another splash and leave Pittsburgh with a terrific squad to challenge for Super Bowl 61 next year.
