College Football World Shaken After Tragic Death of 20-Year-Old Star

Terrible news.

College football has received terrible news in recent months. Unfortunately, players have lost their lives at a young age, sometimes in situations that could have been easily avoided.

At the start of March, Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Dominiq Ponder passed away in a single-car accident in Boulder County.

Ponder had a blood-alcohol level twice the legal limit at the time of his fatal single-vehicle car crash. He died of multiple blunt force injuries, per the Boulder County Coroner’s report. Over the weekend, another standout player died after a crash.

On Saturday, Kelvin Level Broadhurst Jr. sadly passed away following a fatal motorcycle crash in Greensboro. The North Carolina A&T player reportedly drove his Ducati motorcycle east on Interstate 40 and took the ramp to U.S. 29 South shortly before 5 p.m. He lost control and crashed.

He was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash. Authorities pronounced him dead on the scene, the Charlotte Observer reported on Sunday.

Broadhurst made noise during his time with the Aggies. He appeared in 28 games, recording 13 total tackles with 1.5 sacks.
