Michele Tafoya Is Getting Destroyed For Her Ridiculous Comment About Rising Gas Prices

Tafoya didn’t read her audience.

Former NBC Sports NFL reporter Michele Tafoya is under fire over her outrageous take on the rising gas prices across the United States.

President Donald Trump promised to cut down the prices of groceries and gas during his 2024 campaign. Of course, that hasn’t been the case since he resumed office 14 months ago.

As millions of Americans struggle with their day-to-day finances, thanks largely to the rising gas prices, former NFL “Sunday Night Football” reporter Michele Tafoya has some not-so-helpful advice.

The 61-year-old Tafoya, who’s running for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota as a Republican, offered her bizarre advice to Americans during an appearance on “The Todd Starnes Radio Show.”

Specifically, Tafoya advised her fellow citizens to “take one less trip to Starbucks” until gas prices go back down:

No word yet on whether Starbucks plans to respond to Tafoya’s suggestion.

As you would guess, social media wasn’t exactly amazed or thankful for Tafoya’s advice on how to deal with rising gas prices.

“Wealthy sports broadcaster and cake-eater (lives in Edina) is tone-deaf about expenses of average Americans,” one user said.

“That’s why she’s a GOP “candidate” and will likely lose the election. Stupid comments like this make you look bad to your constituents. Minnesota vote against her, folks! She’s a moron. The end,” another commented.

“Yet another media personality unfit for public office. The hits just keep coming,” one person quipped.

“Her entire resume is a TV job where she told people that Nick Chubb is “questionable to return.,” another remarked.

“As usual, MAGA candidate @MicheleTafoya is full of hypocrisy,” a user added.

“Buying only one pencil until things improve should help, too.🙄🤦🏼‍♀️,” another said.

With all due respect to Tafoya, it’s easy for someone in her position to offer advice like that. She must have had a high six-figure salary (maybe even a seven-figure one) during her tenure at NBC Sports.

And if she’s running for the U.S. Senate, Tafoya is obviously in a very strong financial position. Everyone knows the outrageous cost of running for a prominent political position in the U.S.

But all politicians (or hopeful politicians) have their fair share of outrageous claims, takes, or promises that make little to no sense. Tafoya might be the first to publicly suggest that someone take one less trip to Starbucks to deal with gas prices, though.
