Social Media Wants National Championship Refs “Investigated” Immediately After Sketchy Call Involving Fernando Mendoza [VIDEO]

The internet is demanding an investigation over what Miami did to Fernando Mendoza.

It seems Miami came out with one play against Indiana, and that was to put a hurting on Fernando Mendoza.

Mendoza was checking his lower lip for blood after handing off on a read-option he gave quickly to running back Kaelon Black. Fifth-year defensive back Jakobe Thomas still wanted to lay a lick on the Indiana quarterback.

Thomas lowered his helmet into Mendoza’s upper chest and lifted the helmet into Mendoza’s face. It caused what appeared to be a cut on his lower lip. For some reason, a flag was not thrown.

Social media wants an investigation into why refs didn’t throw a penalty to protect Fernando Mendoza.

“How is this not a penalty on Miami?? The refs not throwing a flag when a DB goes helmet-to-chin of Fernando Mendoza is criminal. Miami is a dirty football program. These refs need to be investigated 😵‍💫,” a post said.

Indiana football opened up the scoring of the College Football Playoff national championship with a 34-yard field goal. They would then score a touchdown to go up 10-0.
