Meet Elle Duncan, new face of Netflix sports set to host Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul after quitting ESPN…

NETFLIX are preparing to put Elle Duncan front and center as they continue their sports revolution.

The streaming giants are set to broadcast Jake Paul’s boxing showdown with former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua next month.

Duncan, 42, has been snapped up by the network ahead of the huge bout on December 19.

The 42-year-old had become a staple of ESPN’s programming since joining in 2016.

She is currently a co-host on SportsCenter, anchoring the channel’s prime 6pm ET slot.

Duncan is also the channel’s main face for the WNBA Finals and the women’s Sweet 16.

Now she is all set to beamed into households across the globe after partnering with Netflix.

The streaming service have made Duncan their first high-profile, full-time on-air personality.

Duncan’s contract is expected to let her work for other networks, per The Athletic.

The Atlanta native started her broadcasting career in 2003 as an entertainment reporter for sports radio station 790 The Zone.

Duncan was later a sideline reporter for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks for six years.

She was snapped up by the New England Sports Network (NESN) in Boston in 2014.

And ESPN came calling two years later, with Duncan spending almost a decade at the network.

She began hosting a female-led sports talk show, Vibe Check, on Disney+ earlier this year.

Duncan also has her own podcast – The Elle Duncan Show – which discusses both sport and culture from the week just passed.

She has yet to comment on her Netflix move or pending ESPN departure.

Duncan and ESPN are expected to “fully part ways”, the Athletic report adds.

The network is unwilling to lend it’s talent to Netflix after the success of their Christmas Day NFL programming last year.

Paul and Joshua’s bout follows Mike Tyson’s showdown with The Problem Child last year.

The bout smashed records and was one of the most-watched sporting events of all time.

Netflix is gearing up for a big winter of sports content.

Alongside the Paul vs Joshua fight, the streaming service will broadcast two NFL games on Christmas Day.

It also holds has the rights for the MLB’s Opening Night and Home Run Derby in the spring.
