Retired Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has been catching major backlash over what he allegedly said about Bad Bunny and his selection to perform at the Super Bowl.

Because of his selection, some NFL fans are pushing to “boycott” the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show.

Many have spoken out against it. Even Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson said he had “never heard” of him while making it clear that he could return to Puerto Rico if he didn’t like the United States.

Now, there is a post going around on X (formerly Twitter) being attributed to Jason Kelce that has raised some eyebrows.

It claims that he said: “If Bad Bunny is a bad fit for the Super Bowl, then maybe the people making these comments are a bad fit for America’s future.”

There is one big problem with that statement: Kelce never said it, and he made sure that everyone knew this with his actual real statement on the matter.

Jason Kelce is speaking out about false quotes wrongly attributed to him on social media, which insinuated that he had spoken in support of Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance.

The New Heights podcast co-host wrote, “I normally don’t comment on things like this, but I feel I need to address that there are a number of accounts posting fake quotes and attributing them to me on this platform right now.”

Kelce continued, “I appreciate @X putting community notes on several, and I will not address the other accounts specifically, because I do not want to amplify their engagement. But please know, unless you hear something directly from me via one of my platforms, it is not real.”


Kelce has not shared his opinion on his verified social media pages about whether Bad Bunny should be the halftime performer.

Given his fan base, he is unlikely to do so since there is so much contention about it on social media.

In response to the hate surrounding his upcoming performance, Bad Bunny joked on Saturday Night Live that viewers have “four months to learn Spanish” to understand what he plans on doing.
