Social Media Erupts Over Footage Of Man On Flying Carpet Shooting Down U.S. F-35 Fighter Jet As War In Iran Rages On [VIDEO]

Social media is going crazy over a flying carpet attack.

No one expected to see a flying carpet during the war in Iran, but here we are. The US and Israel are engaged in a major, ongoing military conflict against Iran. Operation “Epic Fury” targeted Tehran, Isfahan, and other cities.

It has resulted in the death of Ali Khamenei and thousands of others. Iran has launched drones and missiles at Israel and US bases across the region in retaliation. The conflict has severely disrupted regional travel, with major airports like Dubai halting flights amid missile strikes.

Amid the war, British F-35s have been making their first air-to-air kills. Its kill came in the same week a US submarine used a torpedo to sink an Iranian ship in the Indian Ocean. It was the first such attack since WWII, the Pentagon said.

Social Media Gets Fooled by Flying Carpet Shooter in Iran

Protesters of the Trump administration and its operations in Iran and local Iranians in support of the U.S. actions in their home country clash at the Wesley Bolin Plaza on March 2, 2026, in Phoenix.
Now, it seems social media is engaged with a video of a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jet being attacked. Footage online shows the fighter jet desperately trying to get away from a….flying carpet.

A man could be seen on the carpet, firing at the fighter jet as it makes defensive maneuvers, desperately trying to get away. As you may be able to tell, the footage is not real.

“Iran is winning the war! They just released a video of their air force shooting down a US fighter,” an X account stated of the flying carpet shooter.

More than 10 million users have seen that video.

“You all want Iran to win so bad 🤣🤣🤣even if it warrants you sounding stupid,” one person said.

“Why are people so desperate for the US to lose this war? I honestly don’t understand how degenerate these people can be,” a second person stated.

“Iran is cutting a lot of costs while the US keeps wasting billions of dollars,” a third person added.

“I don’t understand the people that look at this and then ask grok if it’s real. The flying carpet can only have the weight of one man on it. The gun would make it impossible to fly… duh!!!!” a final person commented.

Conflict has spread across the Middle East since the US and Israel launched wide-ranging strikes on Iran on February 28.

Speaking to Al Jazeera on Monday, Iranian Deputy Health Minister Ali Jafarian said at least 1,255 people have been killed in Iran, including 200 children and 11 healthcare workers.

The US and Israel continued to bombard Iran on Monday with explosions reported in Qom and Tehran. This war is far from over.
