Police Release Chilling Footage Of The Players Championship Killer’s Arrest [VIDEO]

The manhunt lasted several hours.

The 2026 Players Championship had a lot of happenings. From Wyndham Clark shooting his shot with Kay Adams to Scottie Scheffler spending hours in the rain after a rocky round, the competition didn’t stop.

On a darker note, the third round of the tournament suffered a delay after two people were killed near the tournament. A man killed two people at a Walgreens parking lot located less than a mile from a main parking area at the competition.

The gunman entered the TPC Sawgrass course during the escape attempt. The organizers needed to delay opening the gates ahead of the round on Saturday morning. Hospitality areas opened up at 11 a.m., while the round began at 8:15 a.m., as originally scheduled.

On Tuesday, police shared the moment the police apprehended the suspect, Christian Barrios, close to the Players Championship in Florida. Authorities nearly arrested him on Friday night, approaching an alleged BMW.

Nassau County Sheriff’s Office closed a perimeter around the wooded area where Barrios went. He entered private property trying to evade the police. He was found on a footpath in the woods before dropping to the floor and holding his hands over his head before being arrested.
