Several questionable calls in the fourth quarter benefited and hurt both teams. So as you would guess, disgruntled fans accused the NFL refs of “rigging” the game.

“The refs have completely hijacked this entire Steelers vs. Lions game,” one fan said.

“Steelers get a stop to win the game. Refs 3-5 business days later,” another wrote with a meme:

“STEELERS WIN VS THE LIONS AND THE REFS,” wrote another.

“Puka was right about the refs. NFL is clearly rigged,” a fan added.

“This is so clearly rigged by the refs for the lions to win this… unbelievable,” a user commented.

“@NFl , can you just admit you want Roger’s and @steelers to win? Getting obvious. First @Ravens and now vs @Lions Totally rigged bullshit calls, @nflnetwork @espn,” another said.

Per ESPN, the officials called eight penalties on the Steelers and seven on the Lions.
