New York Giants Co-Owner Steve Tisch Announces Shocking Decision To Give Up His Shares In The Team After Being Connected To Jeffrey Epstein
Steve Tisch has made a choice.
New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch has made a final decision on his connection with the team, weeks after being mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
In January, the Department of Justice released millions of documents relating to the Epstein Files. Emails from 2013 show that Epstein, who died in his prison cell on Aug. 10, 2019, scouted multiple women for Steve Tisch.
Tisch didn’t deny having communication with the disgraced financier, though he claimed he never visited Epstein Island. The NFL quickly released a statement after the emails were published, saying it was looking into Tisch’s connection to Epstein.
According to ESPN’s Seth Wickersham and Jordan Raanan, Tisch has decided to end his tenure as the Giants’ co-owner. Tisch and his siblings, Laurie and Jonathan, requested to transfer their ownership to their children’s trusts.
Here’s what the memo reads:
“Prior transfers to these Trusts were completed pursuant to 2023 and 2024 Finance Committee approvals. The Sellers now propose to transfer their entire remaining interests, totaling 23.1% of the Club, to the Trusts…Following the transactions, the Sellers will no longer own any interest in the Club.”
Authorities haven’t charged Tisch with any crimes, and ESPN noted his unclear future with the New York Giants
More to come.

The Giants were owned entirely by the Mara family from 1925 to 1990. In 1991, Timothy J. Marasold half the team to Preston Robert Tisch, Steve’s father.
Wellington Mara, the father of Giants co-owner John Mara, passed away at the age of 89 on Oct. 25, 2005. Preston Tisch died at 79 on Nov. 15, 2005. John Mara and Steve Tisch then assumed ownership of the football team.
Tisch holds the titles of executive vice president, chairman and co-owner. The Giants have won two Super Bowls under Tisch and Mara (in 2007 and 2011), both with Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin leading the way.
However, the Giants have only made the playoffs twice since they won Super Bowl 46. With John Harbaugh taking over the coaching duties, we’ll see if the Giants can return to contention.
