Hs rescure was nothing short of a miracle.
A few days ago, Iran reportedly shot down a US F-15E Strike Eagle. Iranian authorities showed videos and pictures of the downed US fighter jet over their territory.
The jet was initially identified as an F-35, but later revealed to be an F-15E. Shooting it down was one thing, but both pilots needed to be rescued before they were caught.
One of them had already been rescued by US forces, but there was no word on the second guy. Time was running out. Details around the rescue operation and how it unfolded are still emerging.
Now, we are finding out the intricate details of that US F-15E Strike Eagle being shot down and what the second airman had to do to stay hidden.

US special forces rescued the second crew member of the downed aircraft. It did not come easy.
The US and Iran were in a race to locate the missing crew member after the jet was downed over southern Iran. Trump paused a number of other operations in Iran to focus on the rescue.
Per Axios, the US airman finally made contact from somewhere in the mountains of southwestern Iran. His message was short and unexpected. Donald Trump said the weapons system officer spoke over his radio after ejecting from the aircraft. “He said: ‘Power be to God.’”

A US defense official confirmed Trump’s account but said the exact phrase was “God is good.”
“What he said on the radio sounded like something a Muslim would say,” Trump told Axios. He added that the people who knew the US F-15E Strike Eagle Airman said he was a religious person.
The airman had a communication device and a tracking beacon with him in addition to a handgun. 200 members from special operations units participated in the rescue to find him.
To stay hidden, the airman was in a crevice in the mountain and was found thanks to US technology. He reportedly evaded Iranian forces by hiking up a 7,000-foot ridgeline.
Thank goodness he was found.
