Moms Banned From Their Sons’ Games After Throwing Hands During Explosive Catholic Youth Basketball Brawl [VIDEO]
They did not care about setting an example.
Two mothers got themselves banned from their sons’ future games after throwing hands at a Catholic Youth Organization basketball game last month.
Parents haven’t been as well-behaved at kids’ games as you’d expect them to be in recent times.
A video recently went viral showing a father blowing up a coach with a crazy tackle at a boys’ basketball game.
As for the moms in question, they squared up during a sixth-grade game between St. Teresa and Saint Clare on Staten Island on December 20th, according to SILive.
Security footage, seen below, shows them engaging each other verbally before things quickly get violent. They’re shown shoving each other and throwing punches, taking their melee to the court.
The fight continues despite others jumping in to try to calm them down. Another fight breaks out as soon as they are pulled off each other.

CYO County Director Michael Neely said the women were parents whose kids were playing in the game. The others involved were also family members.
Neely added that the women and the family members have been banned from attending Catholic Youth Basketball games indefinitely.
“Two families got involved and, in the end, their families have been banned from CYO indefinitely,” he said.
“The CYO is no longer gonna tolerate fights that just ruin it and crush it for kids,” Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella said. “There were kids on the court crying because they didn’t know what was happening, the game had to come to an end and these kids suffer.”
“The mission was about the kids. The mission was about teaching them responsibility. The mission was about them having a good time: the kids.
“The kids are the center of this universe here. And every once in a while some spectators get out of control and ruin it for the kids and ruin it for everybody else.”
Fonsella also said that there is a new rule in place that will ban spectators for a year for any disruptive behavior.
