Kansas City Chiefs Brace For NFL Hammer After Controversial Incident Involving Dak Prescott [VIDEO]

Chiefs 3rd-round pick Ashton Gillotte might be in some serious trouble following his actions against Dak Prescott on Thursday.

It was bad enough that the Kansas City Chiefs lost on Thanksgiving, but now they may be down one player for their next game, which becomes the most important contest of the season.

The moment went down in the second quarter when the Dallas Cowboys were facing a second-and-7 at the Dallas 18-yard line. Dak Prescott dropped back and tossed an incomplete pass, but as soon as he let the ball go, he got destroyed by a Chiefs defender.

Dak Prescott complained to the ref, but no flag was thrown. A replay of the incident shows that Prescott was hit with a blatant helmet-to-helmet hit that should’ve produced a penalty.

No flag was thrown on Chiefs rookie defensive end Ashton Gillotte.

The referees did not call a roughing the passer penalty on Gillotte, but the rookie is not safe from punishment. The NFL Officiating Department reviews every play from every game, and this is one play that will be looked at.

Gillotte has not been fined by the NFL this season, so for a first timer to commit a roughing the passer violation, he is eligible for a $17,389 fine. His possible penalty will be announced via the gameday accountability report.

The Dallas Cowboys won a Thanksgiving Day thriller over the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-28, to truly vault themselves into the NFC playoff picture.

Playing in their second home game since the death of Marshawn Kneeland, the team did not have it easy facing Patrick Mahomes and hearing their fan base take over AT&T Stadium.

Dallas needed a win heading into the short week, as they are now 6-5-1 on the season.

It started out badly as Dak Prescott threw an interception on the third play of the game. He would not make another mistake. Prescott bounced back on the ensuing drive. He went 12 plays and 75 yards, finding CeeDee Lamb for a 15-yard strike in the back right of the end zone.

Prescott was 27-for-39 for 320 yards with two touchdown passes, while Lamb finished with a game-high 112 yards on seven receptions.
