Former Baltimore Ravens RB Facing Serious Charges After Assaulting Contractor At His Home

Not a good look.

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Terrance West is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a contractor at his home.

West, who played parts of four seasons in the NFL, allegedly assaulted a contractor, identified as Erick Mejia, at his home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Per Brian Wacker of the Baltimore Sun, Terrance West allegedly attacked Mejia after an argument about a carpet stain. Mejia claims that West assaulted him and made threats with a knife and gun.

West is facing first-degree and second-degree assault charges and will have a preliminary hearing on May 1st, Wacker added.

The Cleveland Browns selected West in the third round (94th overall) back in 2014. The Towson standout had a superb college career, winning 2013 FCS Player of the Year and CAA Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Terrance West turned heads with a stellar rookie season, rushing for 673 yards and four touchdowns. But after a slow start in 2015, the team traded him to the Tennessee Titans. West played two games there before the Titans waived him, and the Ravens picked him up

He rushed for 774 yards and five touchdowns in 2016, compiling 1,010 yards of offense. But injury woes limited West to five games in the ensuing 2017 campaign, and the Ravens opted not to re-sign him in the offseason.

West finished his short-lived with 1,816 yards and 11 touchdowns in 43 NFL games.
