Massive Brawl Erupts at Bass Pro Shops Grand Opening in Texas – Viral Video Captures the Madness

A fight broke out at the new Bass Pro Shops in Odessa, Texas, during its grand opening over the weekend.

The sporting goods retailer opened its doors at its new branch on Saturday, but things hardly went as smoothly as planned, as a wild brawl erupted between a group of men, one of whom wore a Longhorns jersey.

The Odessa Police Department told TMZ they responded to calls of a disturbance on Saturday afternoon. They reported that two men became involved in an argument while waiting in line to use the toilets, and the situation escalated from there.

The reason for the argument is unknown.

Of course, the whole thing was caught on camera. It’s 2025, after all. The video below shows four men fighting in pairs before more males rush in.

One may have thought that they were coming to break up the fights, but they started getting their own shots in, making a proper mess of the location.

“These grown-a** men act like idiots! … And you wonder why our schools are falling apart!” a woman was heard shouting.

Notably, the school district serving Odessa received a D rating from the Texas Education Agency last year.

The Bass Pro Shops unveiling was highly anticipated, but the event was marred by “grown-a** men acting like idiots.”

The store had put out its announcement four days earlier.

“An exciting day in Odessa! Bass Pro Shops officially opened its doors with a Grand Opening and Evening for Conservation celebration,” it read.

“With new jobs, new energy, and new visitors coming to town, Odessa’s latest addition marks another step forward in the city’s growth and another reason to celebrate the great outdoors, West Texas style,” it continued.

Police noted that the parties involved did not wish to press charges, and no arrests were made despite the criminal trespass at Bass Pro Shops, with the men involved in the fight all being released on the scene.

An equally bizarre fight took place after an NFL game on Sunday. A group of shirtless men was caught on camera brawling on the field after the Titans lost to the Chargers.
