Carson Beck Dropped Shocking Admission During Postgame Interview That Could Land Miami In Deep Trouble [VIDEO]
Carson Beck opened his mouth, and the Hurricanes might suffer from it.
College football fans remember when Ohio State QB Cardale Jones dropped a gem. He once said, “I didn’t come here to play school.” Apparently, Beck doesn’t either. Beck’s postgame interview on Wednesday sparked a social media conversation.
Carson Beck and the Hurricanes are in the CFP semifinals, but their success might have come at a cost. Speaking to ESPN postgame, the quarterback praised the Hurricanes for their commitment to football.
“From 5 am to 6 pm every single day we’re in the facility,” Beck said. “We’re grinding, we’re practicing, we’re watching film. Every single day. Day in, day out, for moments like this.”
That admission left some fans concerned. He seems not to spend much time actually doing college work.

When Carson Beck came to Miami, he was doing so for love and reviving a football program. Well, he lost his love before the season. His relationship with Hanna was believed to have much to do with his decision. Cavinder deleted all Beck posts on her Instagram account and unfollowed the college football star quarterback. Leaked Snapchat messages seemingly proved that he cheated on her.
Now that his love life was over, he could focus on football. That led to his game this week at the Cotton Bowl.
Carson Beck made just enough plays against the nation’s top-ranked defense during the Cotton Bowl. He completed 19 of 26 passes for 138 yards and one touchdown, along with 23 rushing yards. It took a monstrous effort on all fronts for Miami to emerge with the win on Wednesday night.
“That’s a damn good football team on the other side there and it was a battle. It took all four quarters into the very last minute,” Beck told ESPN after the win.
With the victory, Miami will now play Ole Miss on January 8.
Beck, who won two national titles as a backup, is now two wins away from winning his first title as a starting quarterback.
