Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula caused a stir on Wednesday after he threw former head coach Sean McDermott under the bus. During a press conference, the owner responded to a reporter asking general manager Brandon Beane about the lack of quality in the wide receiver position.

When Keon Coleman’s name was brought up, Pegula cut off the reporter and said that Beane was a “team player” at that moment, and decided to listen to the coaching staff.

“The coaching staff pushed to draft Keon,” Pegula said. “I’m not saying Brandon wouldn’t have drafted him, but he wasn’t his next choice. That was Brandon being a team player and taking advice of this coaching staff who felt strongly about the player. Gaines mentioned Coleman running a 4.57 40-yard dash.
