Paul vs Joshua has been derided by boxing purists due to the sheer gulf in class between the pair.

The announcement was met with baseless claims that the fight will be “fixed” or “scripted” if AJ doesn’t decimate the former Disney star.

There have even been outrageous suggestions of a gentleman’s agreement between the pair that will see the Watford warrior take it “easy” on Paul.

But Joshua, 36, insists he plans to unload his full artillery on ‘The Problem Child’.

He told TMZ: “Honestly, I haven’t seen that part. But no, there’s no clause.

“I heard that he fought Mike Tyson in 14oz gloves.

“I heard that he was going to fight Gervonta [Davis] in 12oz gloves and then he’s chose to fight me in 10oz gloves. So there’s no clause.”

AJ believes Paul’s decision to fight him in 10oz gloves is proof he wants to make good on his promise to knock him out.

He added: “God, he wants to go easy. I think he wants to hurt me. I think he wants to take me out.”

AJ’s response to claims he’ll take it “easy” on Paul come just over a week after promoter Eddie Hearn rubbished the notion of there being a “script” for the Netflix bout.

He told iFL TV: “Let me tell you the script for AJ against Jake Paul: The bell’s going to go.

“AJ’s going to go out, take the middle of the ring, and he’s going to unload the heaviest artillery on Jake Paul‘s chin he can as quickly as possible.

“And he’s going to knock him spark out.

“If you think this is scripted, wait till you see what happens on December 19, because you will go, ‘F**k me’.

There’s no clause.”

“‘One thing’s for sure, that weren’t scripted.’”

Paul has repeatedly faced fight-fixing claims since making his professional boxing debut in January 2020.

The 28-year-old has slammed the suggestions that his bouts are rigged and revealed earlier this year that he’ll take legal action, with the help of Elon Musk‘s lawyer Alex Spiro, against anyone who claims they are.
