Mike Vrabel Delivers Worrying Injury Update On Drake Maye Ahead Of Super Bowl 60
Things are not looking god for Drake Maye ahead of Super Bowl LX.
Amid terrible conditions last week, Drake Maye is coming off one of his worst-played games in his short career. Helping him along the way was the Denver Broncos not having Bo Nix due to him being out for the season.
Could the Patriots have their own quarterback issue ahead of the Super Bowl?
The second-year signal caller from UNC has Patriots fans thinking he might be the second coming of Tom Brady. New England has two weeks of rest before hitting the field at Levi’s Stadium. They got here with an ugly victory over the Broncos. Maye wasn’t spectacular in a snow-filled, ugly 10-7 victory at Denver with only 86 yards passing.
However, it was the 65 yards rushing that made all the difference. That came despite him creating that play for himself. According to The Boston Herald, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels called a different play in that moment.
With all of the hoopla surrounding Drake Maye, there appears to be an issue with his body. The Patriots will need the very best from Maye to beat the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX. But perhaps more importantly, they need him to be as healthy as possible.
Mike Vrabel Sidesteps Drake Maye Injury Questions

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was asked about Maye’s rumored shoulder injury. This came live while on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show. He kept his answer short and to the point, yet he didn’t actually answer.
“There’s not a player on our team that’s 100% healthy,” Vrabel said. He was then asked whether Maye was healthy enough to “play at a high level.” Vrabel responded, “I would imagine we’ll go through the injury report, and whenever we have to turn that in, we’ll turn it in. But, nobody’s 100%, this will be our 21st game.”

An NFL doctor then made things worse with his assessment of Drake Maye’s shoulder. David J. Chao says he is “far more concerned about Maye’s shoulder than Sam Darnold’s oblique.”
Sam Darnold has been dealing with an oblique injury since the start of the postseason. It is clear that neither quarterback will be fully healthy. Either way, both will be looked upon to work through it and help their team to victory.
