Everyone Is Saying The Same Thing About Diego Pavia Following Vanderbilt’s Loss To Iowa In ReliaQuest Bowl

The internet unloaded on Diego Pavia after Iowa’s upset of Vanderbilt in Wednesday’s ReliaQuest Bowl. And his actions in the wake of the Heisman Trophy ceremony now look 10 times worse.

Pavia is expected to lose millions as a result of his ill-advised shot at Fernando Mendoza and the Heisman voters. He was also expected to beat the Hawkeyes on Wednesday.

The Commodores were thought to be keen on sending a message, while it was believed that Pavia would show the voters they had made a mistake.

That’s not how things turned out, of course. Iowa dealt Vanderbilt a thrashing.

They trailed 21-3 at one point and ultimately lost 34-27.

That isn’t to say that the quarterback had a bad performance. He tallied 347 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.

However, it was all too little, and way too late.

In any case, fans were happy to see him fail. And the big hit he took on a sack in the first quarter pleased everyone.

“So glad to see Diego Pavia go out a loser. It was almost like he spent the post season grabbing his crotch and telling Heisman voters to F-off,” someone shared.

“Don’t have to see Diego Pavia on my TV screen ever again,” another wrote.

Meanwhile, Pavia has stated his intention to enter the NFL Draft this year. He is predicted to be a day-3 pick.
