Internet Explodes Over Serena Williams’ Viral Mirror Selfie Shocking Body Transformation [PHOTOS]

The difference is astounding.

Serena Williams has undergone a remarkable body transformation, but the internet is not here for it.

Figures can be tricky, whether you’re male or female. Sometimes, weight decides to spike just as you are noticing progress due to the plateau effect, forcing you to take shortcuts.

Whether or not that’s been the case for Serena is unknown. After years of athletic excellence, she’s put the racket down and settled into life as a mother.

The rigorous training sessions are no longer a staple, though she’s still keen on maintaining a healthy weight. While she definitely didn’t look unhealthy before, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion has opted for aggressive pound shedding.

Consequently, she’s entered into a partnership with the telehealth company Ro, which developed the GLP-1 weight-loss medication Zepbound.

Williams has featured in a few commercials for the company, including a recent Super Bowl ad set to air during Sunday’s NFL spectacle.

Serena Williams hasn’t quite won folks over with her weight loss endeavor.

You can see one of her latest selfies below.

Safe to say, she does not look like the Serena Williams we all know.

“this is a crime against humanity,” one fan claimed.

“This what they doin to our queens,” another lamented.

“Crime against Black excellence. We needed that stallion energy forever 😔 Put the weight back on sis,” someone urged.

“She looked really nice before.  Maybe she was not happy but she didn’t look bad at all,” someone else pointed out.

“Ngl after being an athlete for so long, sometimes you just want to be a woman and being in an athletes body is no longer enjoyable. I’m not gonna ever clown a woman for choosing to slim down and become more feminine,” another user commented.

Williams has revealed that she’s lost 31 pounds by using Zepbound, providing continuous updates.

The ad campaign is understood to be more geared toward mobility, joint health, blood sugar, and cholesterol than simple weight loss.
