Hugh Freeze should probably give social media a break. It goes back to when he was the head coach at Liberty University. In 2022, he sent unsolicited direct messages on Twitter to Chelsea Andrews. She was a former student suing the school over its handling of sexual assault cases. In his messages, Freeze defended Liberty AD Ian McCaw as a “Jesus-like leader” and questioned her motives.

According to AL, Freeze told Andrews: “You don’t even know Ian McCaw… He is the most Jesus-like leader I have ever seen or been around, but you take every chance you can to take a shot at him. I don’t understand that mentality.”

Fast forward 4 years, and his behavior on social media is still being questioned.

After being fired by Auburn on Nov. 2, 2025, his social media activity has gone up. The 56-year-old created quite a stir with what he is doing on Instagram.

Hugh Freeze unknowingly reposted a video of a scantily-clad woman who was AI-generated.

Once he started to trend on X, he quickly removed his reposts. Despite being a self-declared man of faith, he still actively follows an account called “saritathecop.” It’s another AI-generated woman with a nice backside.

In the meantime, Freeze is owed $15.8 million in buyout money after his firing from Auburn. They wanted him to go away, and it was very expensive.
