Joe Rogan does not like Jake Paul’s odds vs Anthony Joshua and delivered a three-word forecast of Paul’s chances during the heavyweight boxing main event.

Joe Rogan thinks that Jake Paul is in much more danger than he believes when he steps into the ring with Anthony Joshua.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has climbed the combat sports ladder through spectacle and selective matchmaking, but Rogan predicted the matchup that awaits him in Miami in just simple words. Paul and Joshua will meet on Friday, December 19, at the Kaseya Center in Miami after an early push for a Gervonta Davis fight collapsed.
Instead of fighting a lightweight with a 70-pound advantage, Paul will stand across from a two-time heavyweight champion who cuts down to 245 pounds and carries the resume, athletic profile, and knockout power of an elite fighter. Rogan said Paul’s choice of Joshua is “one of the craziest propositions of all time,” citing AJ’s experience, power, and speed.
“You take a guy who just had a boxing match that looked like a sparring match with a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, and then you’re gonna fight one of the absolute scariest knockout artists in the heavyweight division,” said Rogan before sending a stark warning to Paul. The UFC commentator kept it simple — if Joshua lands a clean right, “You are f—-d.”
Rogan reviewed Joshua’s power display against Francis Ngannou and highlighted the speed, timing, and violence in his right hand. He knocked out the former UFC Heavyweight champion in just five rounds.
Joshua is 28-4 with 25 knockouts, with only losses to Daniel Dubois, Oleksandr Usyk, and Andy Ruiz. Rogan described them as generational talents that managed to get the job done.
“The speed that he hits him with… he’s so dangerous, man,” Rogan said. “You’re dealing with a guy who’s an Olympic gold medalist, and he’s enormous, and he’s got vicious knockout power, and he’s got immense world-class experience.”
Paul is expected to weigh between 215 and 225 pounds at 6 feet 1 inch and has emphasized that his quick footwork and angles will compensate for the power gap. “I believe that fighting a smaller man is oftentimes harder as a heavyweight because of the speed difference,” Paul said at the introductory press conference. “I just have to avoid that one shot for eight rounds.”

The fight is billed as “Judgement Day” and will stream live on Netflix. Rogan believes that Joshua will carry extra motivation during the fight after losing the IBF heavyweight title to Daniel Dubois in May.
The criticism that Paul and Tyson pulled their punches and refused to go for a clear finish was also listed as a reason for AJ’s eagerness to end the fight. Rogan said Joshua possesses “one punch nuclear power.”
Joshua turned up the volume on X by posting the cryptic message, “The more I hurt people. The more they’re gonna love me.” He also told Paul that his perception of Tank (Davis) changed from looking down on him to looking up.
