Online Rumors Claim Blake Shelton Walked Off Good Morning America

Doing press and interviews is part of the territory for celebrities. Even musicians have to make the talk show rounds when promoting a new album or upcoming event. As we’ve seen over the years, the interviews sometimes go off the rails and end in a huff.

A rumor circulating online claims that Blake Shelton walked off Good Morning America after an altercation with one of the show’s co-hosts. “Blake Shelton stunned viewers on Good Morning America when he abruptly walked off the set after a tense, on-air clash with George Stephanopoulos,” one Facebook post claimed.

“Without warning, Shelton pushed back his chair, stood up, and walked away, leaving cameras rolling and the audience in shock,” the post claimed.

Needless to say, fans of the country singer were surprised by the news. He’s usually well-mannered and funny during his interviews, rarely bothered by difficult questions about his career or speculation about his marriage to Gwen Stefani.

What’s The Real Story?

The post alleged that things “soured fast” during the interview between Blake Shelton and the Good Morning America host. However, the rumors didn’t share any details about what went down before Blake Shelton allegedly stormed off-stage.

The rumor that Blake Shelton walked off Good Morning America appears to be false. Snopes.com debunked the incident, noting that there weren’t any legitimate news articles about it. And if Blake Shelton really did walk off the show, the media coverage would be impossible to miss.

The rumors seem to be another false clickbait story about a popular celebrity.

Blake Shelton’s New CBS Reality Show

Blake Shelton was last making the media rounds in May to promote his latest album, For Recreational Use Only. He performed on the Today Show‘s Citi Concert Series.

But fans should expect to see Blake Shelton on talk shows soon to promote his upcoming CBS reality show. He teamed up with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan to create The Road. Contestants on the music competition seek the opportunity to open for country star Keith Urban, who serves as one of the judges for the show.

Blake Shelton will also have a role, but mainly worked behind the scenes to bring the reality show to life. There was speculation that he would return to The Voice for a few episodes to fill in for Kelly Clarkson. She briefly took a step back from the reality show after her ex-husband’s death in early August. Jennifer Hudson replaced Kelly Clarkson for a few episodes instead.

Blake Shelton’s CBS show The Road premieres on CBS on Sunday, October 19. Did you see any chatter about Blake Shelton walking off Good Morning America?
