The Phoenix Suns’ comeback culture is alive and viral, and sometimes it comes in the smallest, most unexpected packages. Minnesota looked in control late, up 113-105 with just over a minute left. Suns forward Dillon Brooks, who got screamed at by Anthony Edwards, saw the cracks in confidence and capitalized.

Backup guard Collin Gillespie emerged as the unlikely star, hitting a contested jumper with 6.4 seconds left to seal a 114-113 win.

However, on November 21, during the Phoenix Suns’ win over the Timberwolves, a familiar face stole the spotlight once again: the young fan who captured hearts just days earlier on November 17. A wave, a smile, and a jumbotron moment reminded everyone that some heroes come in pint-sized forms.

Brooks reflected on the Timberwolves’ collapse:

“Once the pressure starts heating up, their eyes start getting big, they start getting scared.”

Meanwhile, Phoenix Suns coach Jordan Ott praised the team’s collective effort:

“Tough, gritty, competitive, together and selfless; that’s what we’ve seen from this group from Day 1. Whatever it takes, whoever is out there, just find a way to outscore the opponent.”

With this win, the Phoenix Suns improve to 10-6, proving it’s not individual star power but proper teamwork that defines their early-season identity.

Devin Booker Steps Up As The Phoenix Suns’ Leader

Phoenix fans worried about losing Kevin Durant, who fired back earlier after Draymond Green questioned his offense-wins-championship belief, and Bradley Beal can relax. The team’s now finding its groove under the leadership of Booker.

Booker is averaging 29 points and seven assists. However, it’s his growing maturity that’s drawing attention. Former star Kevin Garnett, on his podcast, praised how Booker has evolved into a true team leader.

“In the past, I would watch him go the bench and kind of pou. Now, I see him in huddles, I see him giving direction… So yeah, it’s about time.

Players don’t stay in the same state the whole time, so at some point, you gotta anticipate him, you know, stepping up and being the face, not just for the franchise, but the voice in the locker room.”

With Durant chasing a title in Houston and Beal in L.A., Booker remains the Suns’ lone star, aiming to lead the Phoenix Suns to the playoffs and potentially recapture the success of their 2021 Finals run.
