Following the passing of her pet dog, Bella, Catlin Clark consoled her brother, Colin, as he shared an emotional social media post. Sophie Cunningham also gave him a supporting hand.

Caitlin Clark might be having a busy offseason with her rehab and other commitments, but she is always connected to her roots and family. Recently, Clark announced the heartbreaking death of her childhood dog Bella after nine years, and was emotional about her passing.

While CC had a close connection with Bella, another member of the family also had a deep relationship with the pet – Colin Clark. He recently shared a post remembering ‘Bella,’ to which the Fever guard and her teammate Sophie Cunningham reacted.

Bella’s passing after spending nine years with the Clark family was a shock to all the members. While a golden retriever (Bell’s breed) generally lives for 10-12 years, she passed away after nine years. While the Fever guard paid tribute to the passing of her lovely pet, she also had to look after her younger brother, Colin, who had a close relationship with Bella.

20-year-old Colin shared a post with pictures of Balla and him on social media. The WNBA 2024 rookie responded with the “Love you both,” and “second one is my fav photo of U two,” comment, consoling her brother.

Sophie Cunningham also commented on Colin’s post and said, “The absolute worst❤️ hang in there!” The fever forward spoke about her love for dogs earlier in one of her TikTok videos. But in the video, Cunningham also called out god’s worst creation in her latest rant, giving her opinion on the worst dog breed.

As for Clark, the connection with Bell runs deep. She even had her memory on one of her signature shoes with Nike.

Nike is yet to release an official signature shoe line for the Fever guard, though they launched a logo; the work for the signature shoe is in progress, as per the COO of the firm. Till then, the playmaker wore and promoted Nike Kobe variants with her personal touch.

During the Fever’s game against the New York Liberty in the 2025 season,  Clark debuted another new player-exclusive colorway of Kobe Bryant’s sixth signature Nike basketball shoe. The former Iowa star hit the court in the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “The Bellas” colorway, a tribute to Clark’s pet dog, Bella.

The second post showed a detailed look at the kicks. The caption read, “All the details of Caitlin Clark’s ‘The Bellas’ Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE, in honor of her dog, Bella.”

While the release of the shoe was earlier than the passing of her pet dog, it signified her deep connection and love for Bella.
