Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella has memory loss due to cancer treatment
In her latest update, she explains that she’s “not in much pain.”

Isabella Strahan, the 19-year-old daughter of Good Morning America host Michael Strahan, has given the latest update on how she’s dealing with brain cancer.
After facing an emergency surgery in October 2023, Strahan has chronicled her experience on YouTube. In a video posted Wednesday, Strahan said that she’s feeling better and back at home from the hospital after a third round of chemo.

Strahan noted that she’s been “really bored,” but “not in much pain” and that she doesn’t really remember Tuesday because of medicine that she’s been given to protect her hearing. “Just because I have a reaction to it,” she says. “They give me Ativan and, for some reason — this happened last time too — I can’t remember a single thing about that day.”
Strahan showed earlier footage of herself in the hospital saying that she was about to have a sandwich that she didn’t remember ordering.
“And so if the videos seem a little… seem loopy, that’s probably why.”
Strahan said she didn’t film as much in her latest hospital stay, and that her time there went by quickly. She still has another round of chemotherapy to go, and she said she’s anxious for it to be June so she can receive it.
“That’s the thing,” she said. “I just wait around for the next time I get chemo. And I’m kind of scared, like, once I’m done, how am I gonna go back to normal life? Because I feel like there’s always gonna be another treatment or something that I have to do. I don’t know. But that’s a later problem.”
She finished with, “Otherwise, I’m doing good.”

A day earlier, Strahan shared another vlog in which she was at the hospital having her PICC line, or the peripherally inserted central catheter used to administer medicine, removed. She was happy to report that the procedure didn’t hurt at all.
The teen then had her third round of chemo administered from a drip bag. Afterward, viewers saw Strahan mixing up the days of the week and chewing on ice, as she said that she’d lost her appetite in the last week.
That’s when she had that moment with the sandwich.
Strahan explained, too, that she was experiencing rigors, or shaking and chills, and that family members, including her dad, had visited.
In one scene, she enjoyed a “spa night,” with a face mask.
On both posts, Strahan used the hashtag #GoGrayinMay, to mark Brain Tumor Awareness Month, which is meant to raise awareness of brain tumors and brain cancer, as well as the need for the work and money that can bring a cure.
