Doris Burke is truly a national treasure.

Burke, who became the first woman to serve as a game analyst during a championship series, is going viral over her latest comments during a game.

On Wednesday night, Burke was on call for the NBA Cup game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the first quarter, the dynamic broadcaster, whom ESPN demoted, made headlines when she spoke about how younger people often say things, but it came out all wrong.

Doris Burke: “You know how young people say you better come right. Well, they are coming right tonight.”

ESPN announced a multi-year extension for Doris Burke on the same day she was demoted from her role. Burke spent two seasons alongside Mike Breen and a trio of other analysts, but she has now been replaced by Tim Legler and reassigned to work games with Dave Pasch on the No. 2 team.

During her most recent contest, she had a major Freudian slip that social media caught and reacted to.

“Doris Burke does that when she watches Jokic,” one fan said.

“Dang, Doris must be from the streets!” a second fan stated.

“Who says ‘you better cum right’?? 😭” A third fan asked.

“Who let her back to be an announcer 😭😭😭,” a fourth fan added.

“Like who tf even says that? She needs to retire,” one final fan wrote.

Doris Burke has provided NBA Finals coverage for the network over the past two seasons, following her elevation to the role in 2023. Those days are long gone now following her demotion.

Though Burke has been moved off ESPN’s top NBA team, she has remained at the network during the upcoming NBA season and beyond, as ESPN announced a “multi-year” contract extension with her.

Burke Magnus, ESPN’s president of content, spoke highly of her after the news, saying, “I think it was the right decision because we were still searching for the perfect combination,” Magnus said, per Awful Announcing.
