Early Monday morning of September 15, police arrested a man outside Travis Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas. Around 2 a.m., the man jumped the fence at the Chiefs star’s gated property, which had also been burglarized in the past when memorabilia was stolen.
This time, the scene had nothing to do with stolen collectibles. Instead, it came with an odd twist involving Taylor Swift, her legal battles, and even Justin Baldoni. Yes, it’s that complicated.
The Man Arrested Outside Kelce’s Home

KCTV 5 confirmed that officers arrested 48-year-old Justin L. Fisher. Police charged him with entering the private residence illegally after he scaled the fence. Emergency crews responded quickly, cuffed Fisher, and moved him off the property.
So why was he there at all? Reports show Fisher tried to serve Taylor Swift deposition documents linked to a case involving Baldoni’s legal team and Swift’s friend Blake Lively. A judge had already denied Baldoni’s lawyers an extension, saying they failed to show proper diligence.
“They have offered no evidence that they have served a renewed subpoena on Swift,” Judge Lewis Liman said, according to CNN. Fisher ended up outside Kelce’s house, apparently hoping to deliver the papers himself.
It remains unclear exactly when Fisher got the assignment or why he targeted Kelce’s residence. What is clear is that police stopped him before anything worse happened.
Kelce, meanwhile, hasn’t had the smoothest September. The Chiefs opened the season 1-2 despite a win over the Giants. On top of that, cameras caught Kelce in heated sideline exchanges with longtime coach Andy Reid. Reid brushed off any concern.
“I love Travis’ passion, man,” he told reporters. “He knows when to back off the pedal and when to push it. Sometimes I have to be the policeman.He’s an emotional guy.”
The timing couldn’t be stranger. Between Fisher’s arrest, the team’s uneven start, and headlines swirling around Swift, Kelce has been going through a lot. Now, with the Ravens game coming this Sunday, he’ll need to shift his focus back to football while authorities sort out the bizarre fence-jumping saga at his home.
