There was a big update in the Jeffrey Epstein files scandal on Thursday’s installment of ABC World News Tonight, and David Muir was on hand to deliver it.

The 52-year-old journalist wasted no time issuing the breaking news announcement, kicking off the long-running show, saying, “Good evening. We do begin tonight with the breaking news. We have just learned the bill demanding the release of the full Jeffrey Epstein files has now been sent to the White House and the President has now signed it.

“It comes 24 hours after that near-unanimous passage in Congress. The question tonight, how long does the Justice Department now have to get the files out now that the President has signed the bill,” David added. It comes after David issued a bombshell 4-word message as he stepped away from the ABC desk live on air.

The ABC star then concluded, “Here, our Pierre Thomas asking the attorney general Pam Bondi will all of the files be released. How she answered today, making headlines tonight, Pierre Thomas leading us off,” as he handed over to his colleague.

Pierre’s report on the breaking news story then began, as he stated, “Tonight. The bill demanding that the Justice Department release the Epstein files is now law. President signing it some 24 hours after it was overwhelmingly approved by Congress, something he said he would do.

“Justice Department now has 30 days to make the files public tonight, some Republican senators saying it shouldn’t take that long. But even though the issue has been brewing for weeks with pressure mounting today, Attorney General Pam Bondi would not explain how the process will play out and what, if anything, will be released.”

“We will continue to follow the law with maximum transparency while protecting victims,” Attorney General Pam Bondi was then seen declaring in a clip played during the report.

The reporter then explained how he asked Bondi, “Do you mean that you will provide all the files by 30 days?” to which she replied, “We will follow the law. We will continue to follow the law again while protecting victims, but also providing not slow transparency lawmakers on both sides watching these next steps very closely.”

Pierre pointed out, “President Trump didn’t need Congress to get the Epstein files out. He could have just ordered Bonnie to do it on his own,” before concluding his report.

The breaking news segment was shared on ABC World News Tonight’s Instagram account, with the caption, “Pres. Trump says he’s signed the bill demanding that the Justice Department release the Jeffrey Epstein files, following the near unanimous vote in Congress. It comes as Attorney General Pam Bondi declines to explain how and when the files will be released. Pierre Thomas has details.”

Viewers were quick to share their verdicts on the update, but their attention soon shifted to President Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, 28.

One user commented a GIF of the mom-of-one’s infamous South Park character, showing her with what appeared to be feces on her face. Karoline has continued to dodge questions about the Epstein Files and her boss’ connection to them.

In a recent press conference, she ducked a question asked by a CBS News journalist, “Did the president ever spend hours at Jeffrey Epstein’s house with a victim?”

To which Karoline clapped back, “These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong. And what President Trump has always said is that he was from Palm Beach and so was Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey Epstein was a member at Mar-a-Lago until President Trump kicked him out because Jeffrey Epstein was a paedophile and he was a creep.”

Trump has always denied any wrongdoing relating to the Epstein case, has not been accused of any crimes by law enforcement and has never been identified as the subject of any investigation.

Other users turned their focus to Trump, with another person commenting, “We all know it’s going to be released, but what version is going to be released? That’s the question.”

“Popcorn and champagon stand by. This ought to be good,” a third viewer chimed in, as a fourth fumed, “What’s the point of demanding the release of the files if you’re not going to believe what they say? It’s a no-win situation. A complete waste of f–king time.”
