CBS VIEWERS have been left scratching their heads after a dramatic schedule shakeup.

Four shows were abruptly taken off the network’s primetime lineup.

Comedies The Neighborhood and DMV, along with procedural shows FBI and CIA will be moved from the Wednesday night primetime block on CBS.

Instead, on Wednesday, February 25, the network will air the three-hour long season premiere of Survivor 50 beginning at 8pm ET.

The four shows, which previously aired beginning at 8pm on Wednesdays, will be moved to Monday’s lineup.

CBS is going all out for the fiftieth season of the hit reality competition show, beginning with the longest-ever Survivor season premiere.

Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans will feature a cast of all-stars spanning the series’ 25 year history.

Castmembers have been pulled from 22 of the show’s 49 seasons.

Several iconic castmembers are making the return to Fiji, including White Lotus showrunner Mike White, who based the hit show partially on his Survivor experiences.

Mike’s return to Survivor comes amid the beginning of production for season 4 of White Lotus.

An insider told The U.S. Sun that Mike’s involvement in Survivor meant the show’s production took a hit while he was away filming.

“The issue is Mike is not just the creator. He’s the sole writer, showrunner, and even helps edit, which is really rare for someone in his position,” the insider said.

“So to have the one person who essentially controls the whole franchise be unreachable for five plus weeks… that will inevitably delay things.

“A big reason it was a stressful move on his part is they now have no contact whatsoever with him,” the source claimed.

Mike is not the only Survivor icon under fire.

Host Jeff Probst is also butting heads with contestants and fans alike as the season kicks off.

A source told The U.S. Sun that Jeff is fully taking the reigns during the show’s landmark 50th season – and leaving contestants “very bitter.”

According to a production source, Jeff “runs the show” as has “the most power out of any host in TV over their series.”

“It’s completely his show and all of the problems fans have… the twists, the advantages, all that… that’s largely if not all Jeff’s idea.

“And it’s not just the fans, the contestants are very bitter he sways the outcome.

“Like sometimes, what he says in tribal council and how he phrases certain things… you know it’s coming from a place of a producer, not just a host,” they explained.
