The fact that they are not actually divorced is a surprise to fans, since Miranda used the hashtag divorced in a social media post in 2024, and often refers to Chase as her ex-husband.

In a podcast interview on Weekly Trash, which aired this past November, Chase admitted: “We are not divorced. We are working on that, the only reason we aren’t is we are just being lazy with it.”

As The U.S. Sun previously revealed, Chase has notoriously missed a slew of court hearings over the years.

In one notable instance, he even missed a court hearing for the very serious charges of DUI and cocaine possession, stemming from his July 4, 2025 arrest.

Chase’s legal issues

Last month, a court official confirmed to The U.S. Sun that Chase missed a morning hearing, resulting in a warrant that put him at risk of arrest during any routine traffic stop.

Although the 9:00 am arraignment was initially missed, Chase did eventually arrive later that afternoon to face charges stemming from a December 12 incident.

During that encounter, he was cited for speeding, driving on a suspended license, and failing to have a physical license in his possession.

These recent legal hiccups follow a much more serious incident over the Independence Day weekend.

According to a police report obtained by The U.S. Sun, a concerned driver flagged down officers to report a white Tesla driving erratically.

Authorities observed the vehicle drifting out of its lane and nearly striking a curb before initiating a stop.

Officers noted that Chase exhibited slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, and they reported the smell of alcohol coming from the car.

A subsequent search of the Tesla allegedly uncovered a powdered substance that field-tested positive for both cocaine and fentanyl.

While Chase initially appeared surprised by the discovery, police state that after being read his Miranda rights, he admitted to consuming several beers and shots of tequila at a local bar.

He also claimed to cops that he had tired cocaine for the first time that evening.

At the station, a forensic urine test confirmed the presence of amphetamines, cocaine, and alcohol in his system.

Chase was eventually released into the custody of his friend, Litia Garr, a familiar face from The Bachelor franchise who is set to join the upcoming season of Mormon Wives.

Facing charges of DUI and felony possession of a controlled substance, Chase was summoned to appear in court on September 24.
