NBC on Monday became the fourth broadcast network (following CBS, ABC and Fox) to unveil its Fall TV premiere dates.
The Voice will be the first to debut on Monday, Sept. 22 at 8/7c, with coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg, followed by the Season 2 premiere of the Zachary Quinto medical drama Brilliant Minds. Then on Thursday, Sept. 25, the Law & Order franchise returns to action with season premieres of Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU… and Law & Order: Organized Crime, with NBC airing the 10-episode Season 5 that wrapped up in June on Peacock. (As a result, Season 2 of The Hunting Party, previously announced as airing this fall, shifts to midseason.)
The #OneChicago trio of dramas returns Wednesday, Oct. 1, with Saturday Night Live kicking off its 51st season on Saturday, Oct. 4. Sophomore comedies Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical, meanwhile, will roll out new seasons in November, with both airing two episodes back-to-back. Plus, the NBA returns to NBC this fall, with primetime coverage tipping off on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
All told, NBC’s primetime rollout looks like this:

Get ready to extend your stay in The Gilded Age: The HBO historical drama has been renewed for Season 4.
The renewal news comes ahead of the Season 3 finale, which is set to air next Sunday, Aug 10 at 9/8c.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the undeniable viewership heights The Gilded Age has achieved this season,” HBO programming EVP Francesca Orsi said in a statement. “Transporting us to 1880s New York City, [series creator] Julian Fellowes and the enormously talented cast and crew have created a ‘cant-miss it’ entertainment experience from week to week, and we’re delighted to continue exploring these characters’ grand ambitions for what we promise will be a thrilling fourth season.”
“Thanks to Julian and the phenomenally talented cast and crew, each season of The Gilded Age delivers stories rich in drama and history, stellar performances and stunning production value,” Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television, added. “Every moment spent in this world and with these characters only deepens our love for the show, and we’re so happy that our partners at HBO and audiences around the world are clamoring for more.”
Season 3 picked up after the Opera War, with the old guard weakened and the Russells poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha (Carrie Coon) set her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights, while George (Morgan Spector) risked everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn’t ruin him first.
Meanwhile, the Brook household was thrown into chaos as Agnes (Christine Baranski) refused to accept Ada’s (Cynthia Nixon) new position as lady of the house, and Peggy (Denée Benton) met a handsome doctor from Newport whose family was less than enthusiastic about her career.
In addition to the show’s main players, the Season 3 cast includes Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show), Andrea Martin (Evil), Brian Stokes Mitchell (Mr. Robot), Victoria Clark (Almost Family), Jordan Donica (The CW’s Charmed), Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent) and Merritt Wever (Unbelievable), among others.
The Season 4 release date has yet to be announced.
