The Ryan Kennedy-DK Metcalf saga is far from over.

The saga between Detroit Lions fan Ryan Kennedy and Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver is far from over.

During Sunday’s game between the Lions and Steelers at Ford Field, cameras caught DK Metcalf exchanging words with a Detroit fan, later identified as Ryan Kennedy. Metcalf, apparently unhappy with something said, punched Kennedy in the face.

On Monday, the NFL announced that Metcalf was suspended for the final two regular-season games. He appealed the decision, but it was upheld by the NFL, while Kennedy avoided a punishment from the Lions and the league.

But Kennedy and his attorneys aren’t ready to put the saga to a close. Not even during the cheerful holiday season.

Per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Kennedy’s attorneys are holding a press conference this Friday. They’ll speak on “the assault, correct misinformation that has been publicly repeated as fact, and discuss the serious consequences Mr. Kennedy has faced.”

Further details aren’t precise at this time. One could guess that it might be a lawsuit against DK Metcalf and/or the NFL. We’ll have to wait and see what they say on Friday.

DK Metcalf Could Lose Up To $45 Million Over Suspension

After the Steelers acquired Metcalf in an offseason trade with the Seattle Seahawks, he agreed to a four-year extension worth $132 million. However, there’s important language in his contract that Metcalf should have kept in mind all season.

The contract states that Metcalf could have $45 million voided because of a suspension. So, it’s imperative that the 28-year-old stays healthy and continues to produce at a Pro Bowl level. If he does that, the Steelers will happily keep him on board.

Metcalf will miss Pittsburgh’s final two games, but he’ll be eligible to return for the postseason. The Steelers need just one more victory or a Baltimore Ravens loss to clinch the AFC North.

Dak Prescott Is Making Promises He Won’t Be Able To Keep After Dallas Cowboys’ Latest Playoff Elimination

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott does not plan to miss the postseason again in 2026.

Dak Prescott doesn’t ever want to feel what he is going through again.

Prescott made it clear this week that the team won’t be experiencing the same circumstances in 2026. The Dallas Cowboys once again fell short, failing to reach the playoffs this NFL season. Things started off badly once the team traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.

The team stayed under .500 for the majority of the year. Jerry Jones then got things rolling with multiple trades. He was praised months later when he traded for Quinnen Williams. Dallas also acquired linebacker Logan Wilson in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dallas would then go on a three-game winning streak and appeared to have turned the corner. They even defeated the Chiefs and Eagles, both Super Bowl participants from last year. It still wasn’t enough. The losses continued to pile up as they got eliminated from playoff contention.

It has led to Dak Prescott making a bold proclamation.

The Cowboys have lost three games in a row after a streak of three victories. They won’t be in the postseason again. Prescott is enjoying great individual success during the 2025 campaign. The 32-year-old has already surpassed the 4,000-yard passing mark.

That’s nothing new for Prescott. But he wants more. He’s been itching for a championship, just like everyone else in Dallas.

“We won’t be back here in this spot,” Prescott said Tuesday, per ESPN’s Todd Archer.

Dak Prescott added, “I feel like the last few times I’ve said that were playoff losses. Each year has its own troubles. Each year has its own highs, lows, ebbs, and flows, and everything within it.”

The importance is controlling what you can … I’m going to do my damnedest, controlling what I can and as you get older, I think having more input, having more say so and being asked more questions from the front office. Maybe there’s a little bit more that I can do, and it’s not physically or me getting better at my game. Maybe it’s speaking up and saying that this will help, or I think this can help.”

The Cowboys have nothing to play for. However, do not expect Dak to sit out. Prescott is invested in finishing what he started. He told reporters Tuesday that he won’t sit out the final two games of the regular season.

“Absolutely not,” he said after being asked a hypothetical question about sitting out. The 6-8-1 Cowboys are playing the 4-11 Commanders on Christmas Day this week.
