SELENA Gomez has confirmed that Taylor Swift quietly wrote a song about her, and it’s one that fans know well.

For years, Taylor‘s devoted fanbase, dubbed Swifties, were convinced that one of her hit tracks was inspired by her BFF Selena.

Selena, 33, finally set the record straight about her involvement in the song on the May 3 episode of her husband Benny Blanco‘s podcast with Lil Dicky, called Friends Keep Secrets.

The singer joined the pair, along with Lil Dicky’s wife Kristin Batalucco, to discuss her close connection to Taylor’s music.

“It’s very clear that you clearly connect with Taylor’s music on a different [level],” Lil Dicky told Selena, to which she replied, “A million percent.”

The Lose You to Love Me singer then revealed that Taylor’s song, Dorothea, was about her and reflected on their long friendship.

“I feel like a lot of huge moments that were self-defining, from relationships to family, to love, to hate, to all of it in between, we were figuring it out…

“We didn’t know what was going on. So, we’ve never seen each other any differently,” Selena explained of their close bond, starting from when they were teenagers.

The Disney Channel alum then gushed over the song’s lyrics and how the arrangement “eloquently” tells her story.

Dorothea lives on Taylor’s ninth studio album, Evermore, released in December 2020.

Fans theorized that the track was about Selena because the lyrics seemed to heavily reference the Wizards of Waverly Place star’s life, including her cosmetics line, Rare Beauty, and Hollywood career.

This was apparent in one particular line, which goes, “You’re a queen sellin’ dreams, sellin’ makeup and magazines.”

Selena and Taylor have supported each other throughout their professional and personal endeavors, including in their most recent roles as brides.

In September, Taylor, 36, was among the many A-list guests at Selena’s wedding to Benny in Santa Barbara.

Selena will also support Taylor when she ties the knot to Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce in a fairytale ceremony.

The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that Selena is a part of Taylor’s bridal party, along with Gigi Hadid and other close pals.

An insider said that Selena was especially excited to share her marriage experience after recently saying “I do” to her record producer hubby.

“[Selena] constantly brings ideas and suggestions to make it the best experience possible for her best friend, Taylor,” the source said about Taylor and Travis’s wedding preparations.

Although the couple has not disclosed an exact wedding date, they are considering a $32 million Rhode Island mansion as their wedding venue, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed.

It’s also suspected that the nuptials will be soon, as the NFL off-season provides them more time to focus on their big day.
