The White House Press Secretary ignited backlash on social media when an image surfaced of her sporting $990 Gucci Princetown slippers during the president’s visit to Texas. The luxury footwear proved to be an unfortunate choice, with critics immediately taking to the comments.

The comments section quickly filled with harsh reactions to the 28-year-old and her expensive shoe selection. One user remarked, “No clue. Myself and every woman I know most likely have no shoes over $100 maybe $150. And that is because anything quality is at least that. $900 is a mortgage payment.”

“The purpose of this imaging is preventative, to identify any issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure the President maintains a long-term vitality and function. President 𝒟𝑜𝓃𝒶𝓁𝒹 𝒯𝓇𝓊𝓂𝓅’𝓈 cardiovascular imaging was perfectly normal. No evidence of arterial narrowing impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels.”
