Karoline Leavitt got in her feels thanks to an American Idol contestant’s performance.

Despite a war in the Middle East between Iran and the US, President Dσɳαʅԃ Tɾυɱρ’ʂ 28-year-old White House Press Secretary took some time out of her busy schedule to gush over Hannah Harper’s performance on American Idol.

The Southeast Missouri-native has been competing in the 24th season of the long-running ABC competition show, and in one of her auditions, she sang an original song about motherhood, specifically about her postpartum depression. This appeared to strike a chord with Karloline, who reposted the gig on her Instagram Story.

The soon-to-be mom of two wrote, “crying,” followed by a crying face, a red love heart, a pregnant woman, and a baby baby face emojis.

This comes after Karoline posted a cryptic post in November, seemingly hinting at the struggles of parenting. In the story post, ture of a page from the Bible, pointing to the quote, “For when I am weak, then I am strong,” which was also underlined.

Karoline then posted another quote, which said, “What a privilege it is to have your bed taken up by a small human who thinks it’s the safest place in the world to be,” and penned “crying” over the top of it.

She didnt give much more context to her mysterious posts, but Christine Schneider, Clinical Psychologist at Cambridge Therapy Centre, gave the Mirror US an insight into how the 28-year-old may be feeling at the time.

Christine began, “Working as a Press Secretary means living under constant pressure. Every word, every facial expression, and every pause is dissected by the media and the public,” before adding, “That level of exposure can be incredibly demanding mentally.”

“Someone in Karoline Leavitt’s position likely faces chronic stress, anxiety around public performance, and exhaustion from the nonstop pace of her role,” the expert warned. “There’s often a need to stay composed no matter what’s happening behind the scenes, and that emotional control, while impressive, can come at a cost.”

“It’s what psychologists sometimes refer to as emotional labor: the effort of managing one’s feelings to maintain a professional image. Over time, it can lead to burnout, irritability, and difficulty switching off after work,” she added.

At a separate time, Karoline hinted that she has “post-traumatic stress disorder” when it comes to making plans after having to cancel several plans the past year due to her job.

“Honestly, I have PTSD about making plans, so I just don’t,” the press secretary told Daily Mail. The 28-year-old continued, “We just roll with it.”

She also pointed out, “If there’s a night where I happen to become free, then we take full advantage of that as a family.” During the interview, Karoline also advised the new reporter never to make plans after work, as doing so is a “rookie move.”

“It’s very difficult to make plans in this job,” she admitted, noting, “My husband and I had three different mini weekend getaway vacations this summer. All three got canceled due to foreign policy events.”

Karoline is married to Nicholas Riccio, 60, and shares her one-year-old son with him. The duo are expecting a second baby at some point this year
