Kanye West is currently ensnared in legal issues

Kanye West’s civil trial took another turn as a witness for the plaintiff arrived to court a bit battered.

Jeromy Holding, who worked as a handyman for West, suffered an injury to his fingers and needed to get his pinky reattached prior to testifying. Holding was called to the stand by attorneys for Tony Saxon, who alleged he suffered injuries while renovating a $57 million mansion called the Ando house, for West.

In the lawsuit, which was filed in 2023, Saxon accused West of unpaid wages, unsafe working conditions, and wrongful termination. Saxon worked construction on the house for a renovation West wanted done, and the lawsuit claimed there was tense communication, 16 hour work days, and more.

In an effort to substantiate the claims, Holding was called in, testifying to similar conditions as described by Saxon while working on the same project.

“You are correct that Jeromy Holding testified yesterday. Jeremy, the plaintiff’s star witness, the guy Tony Saxon called upon to speak about construction and site safety on the Ando house site,” Milo Yiannopoulos, a Yeezy representative, told the Mirror US.

West denied the allegations against him

However, he then took a dig at Holding, casting doubt on his own understanding of safety procedures. He quipped, “The guy who sliced three of his own fingers off last week. What a sad world.”

It was unclear if the finger injuries were related to any jobs involving West — but the Ando house construction project was back in 2021. Saxon, according to the lawsuit, was hired on around September of that year.

About the project, Holding testified that West would allegedly change his mind on the direction “on a dime.” The construction project went through multiple concepts including a “bomb shelter” and “recording studio.” Holding further claimed West considered making it into a “monastery” before landing on the concept of “playground.”

He also expressed a tense moment where he feared he’d get fired for mixing up Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian with his now-wife, who was an architect project at the time, Bianca Censori.

West consistently denied concerns regarding safety. Further, Yiannopoulos claimed Saxon was a liar, drawing skepticism on the alleged injury. “Saxon was overpaid and under qualified, and should have quit while he was ahead. He should have taken his quarter of a million dollars and run,” he told the Mirror US in a statement.

He further claimed West was a ‘hostage’ in the story, “trying to figure out if anything Tony Saxon has ever said is true.” Yiannopoulos claimed Saxon was faking his injuries to both the court and medical professionals.
