Erin Burnett had to run for cover during recent CNN broadcast

CNN star anchor Erin Burnett had to take cover during live reporting from Tel Aviv, I/srael, amid the growing tensions between the U.S. and I/ran.

T͎r͎u͎m͎p͎’͎s͎President   79, sparked outrage on both sides of the political aisle and among many Americans after he ordered strikes on I/ran, killing the supreme leader of the Middle Eastern country, Ali Khamenei, over the weekend. Since the U.S. launched an attack, I/ran has launched missiles at I/srael, prompting air raid sirens to be heard through Tel Aviv as I/srael launched interceptors against the strikes.

Erin, 49, was caught on-air having to take cover in I/srael while the sirens rang out before she broke the news.

I/ran’s capital, Tehran, and allies pushed back against I/srael, neighboring Gulf states, and targets essential to the world’s production of oil and natural gas, resulting in a rising death toll across the area.

With the intensity of the strikes, Khamenei’s murder, and the seemingly non-existent exit plan hints that the conflict could continue for the upcoming weeks.

So far, hundreds of people have died across the Middle East after the U.S. and I/srael launched missile strikes, while I/ran’s retaliatory attack ended up killing six U.S. service members.

After T͎r͎u͎m͎p͎’͎s͎made his video announcement, CNN stopped its Monday (March 2) broadcast to air a montage clip of the commander-in-chief making conflicting statements about the war. Trump was seen in the first clip speaking on November 16, 2011.

Speaking on then-president Barack O.ba.ma, T͎r͎u͎m͎p͎’͎s͎ warned, “Our president will start a war with I/ran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate,” which turned out to be contradictory to what T͎r͎u͎m͎p͎’͎s͎ said on Saturday, February 28.

“We tried. They wanted to do it, they didn’t want to do it, again they wanted to do it,” he informed reporters as he discussed the U.S.-I/sraeli military strikes on I/ran.

Captured in another video filmed in November 2024, T͎r͎u͎m͎p͎’͎s͎ said, “They said, ‘He will start a war.’ I’m not gonna start a war. I’m gonna stop wars.” However, March 2 he shared, “This was our last best chance to strike.
