Whether it’s a quiet staycation at home or a luxurious getaway, celebrities at the helm of fan favorite morning shows like Today, Good Morning America, and The View have made the most of their time off.

Viewers noticed the recent absences of Today’s Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Jenna Bush Hager as the veteran hosts took their summer breaks.

This isn’t new for the trio, who usually step away toward the end of the season for some rest and relaxation.

HOSTS IN THE WILD

While Today is a year-round program, Savannah and Al had other anchors fill in for them; meanwhile, Jenna’s segment, Today with Jenna and Friends, has aired pre-recorded episodes since August 18.

Based on their social media accounts, the hosts appeared not to miss the studio as they enjoyed their separate vacations.

Earlier this month, Savannah shared random snapshots on Instagram from her getaway to Maine with her husband, Michael Feldman, and their two young kids: a daughter, Vale, and a son, Charley.

Al – who celebrated his 71st birthday on August 20 – is also basking in some family time as he shared a photo of himself, his wife Deborah Roberts, and their son Nick at a Yankees game last week.

They’re not the only morning show hosts who’ve ventured away from the news desk in recent weeks.

GMA host Robin Roberts has also been having fun off-set, according to her and her partner Amber Laign’s Instagram pages.

The couple shared a video earlier this week of their incredible wildlife encounters during a trip to Rwanda, Africa, including getting up close and personal with a pack of gorillas.

A DIFFERENT VIEW

Fans haven’t seen new episodes of The View all month as the hosts are currently on their annual summer break.

The panel includes Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

The final episode of Season 27 aired on July 25, and the new season is expected to begin on the Tuesday after Labor Day.

In the meantime, the ladies seem to be loving their time off, especially Alyssa, who has posted numerous Instagram photos of her lounging at a gorgeous estate.

Most recently, the TV personality shared a snap of her sitting in an Adirondack chair on the patio with her tiny dog, Herbie.

She wore a long red dress and a yellow sweater draped over her shoulders as she smiled at the camera, the sun setting in the background.

Days earlier, Alyssa posted another pic of her posing with a friend during an outdoor gathering, both with beverages in hand.

Her co-host, Whoopi, also isn’t opposed to stepping away from her duties on The View, as she jetted off to Sicily, Italy, earlier this summer.

The actress appeared to be getting a lay of the land as she revealed in an Instagram post that she joined the cast of the Italian soap opera Un Posto Al Sole.

In another post, Whoopi had some fun in the cockpit of an airplane and joked that her new title was “Captain Whoopi” in her caption.

As the end of summer nears, it won’t be long before all of America’s favorite TV hosts are back onscreen together.

Hosts of Today, GMA, and The View are expected to return to their posts early next month.
