Fox host has brutal warning for Martha Stewart after American Eagle ad – ‘Grow up’

Martha Stewart has teamed up with American Eagle for their new holiday campaign, but it seems not everyone is happy with the collaboration.

The 84-year-old has partnered with the brand after their campaign with Sydney Sweeney sparked widespread backlash. The company made headlines when the 28-year-old featured in a denim ad with the slogan, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”

Critics suggested the advert had a “eugenics-like” tone and Sydney was further criticized when she refused to speak out on the drama.

While the company might have thought Martha was a safer bet, it seems their new ad has backfired. After snaps of the campaign were released, Fox host Tom Shillue slammed the lifestyle guru for aligning herself with Democrats in the past.

Tom appeared on Fox News’ Outnumbered on Wednesday, November 26, and began by praising Martha as he told his co-stars, “She is a legend. She is incredible at marketing. She is a survivor.”

However, his praise stopped there as he asked, “But could she please give up the Democrat Party? I mean, this is the one thing. It sticks in my craw with her.”

Tom continued, “James Comey and all her Democrat friends put her in prison, and because she wants to stay to be a brand ambassador, she is still anti-Trump.”

He then urged Martha to “listen” before telling her to “grow up.”

“Why don’t you join the Republican Party, Martha? That’s my message to you,” Tom said. “James Comey put her in prison, and she knows it. She still wants to suck up to the tastemakers, as they say.”

Martha was convicted of obstruction of justice in 2004 in connection to an insider trading case prosecuted by former FBI Director James Comey, who was a federal prosecutor in New York at the time. Martha served five months in prison along with two years of probation.

In one snap from Martha’s American Eagle campaign, the entrepreneur posed on a gray couch while wearing a light blue denim shirt and matching jeans. In another picture, she was seen wrapping up a gift using denim instead of wrapping paper.

Martha also posed in a kitchen filled with appliances wrapped in denim. For this picture, she wore a dark blue denim jacket, matching jeans and had a navy cardigan draped around her shoulders.

In one of the ads, Martha said, “This holiday season, we’re settling for nothing less than a perfect fit.”
