EXCLUSIVE: Savannah Guthrie Finally Breaks Silence On The LIVE Question To Khloe Kardashian That Still HAUNTS Her

Savannah Guthrie has revealed she is still completely mortified after once daring to ask Khloe Kardashian about rumors that Robert Kardashian wasn’t her biological father.

The Today show co-host, 53, interviewed the 41-year-old television personality on the NBC show in 2012 – and to this day remains haunted by the experience.

Speaking to Andy Cohen about the mistakes she made across the course of her career, Savannah recalled her chat with Khloe and how she boldly asked about paternity rumors as the program headed towards a commercial break.

‘I asked Khloé Kardashian, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn’t her father,’ she said.

‘That was so bad. That was so bad.’

Savannah admitted that the moment left her ‘so embarrassed’ and that she only asked because of ‘all this pressure’ from producers who wanted her to ask the ‘dishy question.’

She also revealed that she waited until the very last second to pop it.

‘So, at the very end we were like, “And Khloé, like, what about this rumor that Robert Kardashian’s not really your father?” And they were like, “10, nine, eight…’ and I was so embarrassed.”‘

Luckily, Khloe took the question in her stride.

‘She was such a class act,’ Savannah continued.

‘She was like, “Ah, nothing to it.” We made the break. I asked the question, Khloé was a total class act.’

Khloe is the third daughter of Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian.

Her older sisters are Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian, while Rob Kardashian is her younger brother, and her half-sisters are Kendall Jenner and lip kit mogul Kylie Jenner.

Khloe has long been at the center of the conspiracy theory that her father was OJ Simpson, although both she and Simpson vehemently denied these claims.

The social media star’s late father, Robert, famously defended Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.

In 2019, Simpson vehemently denied that he was Khloé father amid rumors that she was conceived during an alleged fling with her mother in the 1990s, which he also stated never happened.

At the time, there were rumors that Khloé’s biological father was not the late Robert Kardashian, who died in 2003, but the late OJ Simpson, who was a family friend and who Robert Kardashian defended during his 1994 murder trial

‘I want to stress never – in any way shape or form had I ever had any interest in Kris, romantically, sexually, and I never got any indication that she had any interest in me,’ Simpson said in a video, posted to X (formerly Twitter).

He continued: ‘So all of these stories are just bogus. Bad, you know, tasteless.’

At the time of her Today show interview, Khloe was scheduled to talk about the new reality show, Khloé & Lamar, which starred herself and then-husband Lamar Odem.

Savannah previously recounted the cringe anecdote with Andy in a SiriusXM Today Show Radio town hall in February.

‘She saved my butt,’ she said of Khloé at the time. ‘She’s a doll.’
