Dancing With the Stars Season 34 couples

It was supposed to be an emotional night of heartfelt tributes. However, Dedication Night on “Dancing with the Stars” season 34 took a shocking turn that left contestants stunned. After preparing for an elimination that never came, several stars were caught off guard by the surprise twist. Jordan Chiles called it “the most devastating thing ever.”

A ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Surprise Twist to All

As if emotions weren’t high enough in the ballroom last night on “Dancing With the Stars” 2025, but then producers pulled a twist out at the end. When it was time for Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough to reveal the “DWTS” results, it turned out no one was going home.

Producers decided the night was emotional enough. Because of that, no couples needed to go home, and add even more drama and emotions.

While that is a nice gesture, it seems like Jordan and her partner, Ezra Sosa, weren’t too happy about it. The couple told Us Weekly they were fully prepared to say goodbye to another “Dancing With the Stars” duo on Dedication Night.

Chiles explained, “I think this was the first time I was like, ‘We’re in elimination, and what is happening?’ Only because we rehearsed it. We rehearsed everything going on.”

Once it was revealed that no couple would be going home, Chiles stated the vibe in the ballroom shifted. She said, “I think everybody — not even just us — but everybody’s moods were just like, ‘Are you serious right now?’ I was pissed, personally.”

Sosa agreed with his partner, telling Us Weekly, “You can’t play these mind games with us. That’s not right. It’s almost worse. You’re going to line us up? No, girl. No. Send someone home. Just do it. Come on.”

Her Daddy-Daughter Dance She’s Dreamed About

While Jordan was upset at the surprise twist, she was excited to live out a lifelong dream on the “DWTS” dance floor. For Dedication Night, Chiles dedicated her performance to her father, Timothy.

They performed a Viennese Waltz to “Daughters” by John Mayer. The judges, which included guest judge Kym Johnson, enjoyed the performance. The judges each gave an 8, for a total score of 32 out of 40.

When Dedication Night was up next, Jordan said it was a no-brainer to include her dad. She said, “Ever since I was little, I was like, ‘One day, I’m going to have a daddy-daughter dance. That’s going to be out of this world.’ Now, for it to be on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ that’s even crazier.”

While the couple ended the night toward the top of the leaderboard, it seems like the scores didn’t matter as much this week.

“It was really about just the feelings that everybody was feeling inside of the ballroom — the judges [and] ourselves — because that’s what dedication is all about, right?” the gold-medal winning Olympian told Us Weekly. “You take that one person that you truly love and connect with and you make sure they have the most fun that you have at the same time, so it was really just about the love and joy that we all gave each other.”

“Dancing With the Stars” season 34 airs on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu.
