Viewers may have noticed that the show has been airing pre-recorded segments since August 18. Parade magazine reported that Jenna Bush Hager is on a much-needed break with her husband and their three kids, Mila, 12, Poppy, 10, and Hal, 6.
She’s expected to return to the morning show on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Today Hosts Can’t Hide Contempt Anymore, Savannah Guthrie Done?
Savannah Guthrie has been on the Today Show for over a decade. She took over from Ann Curry in 2012. She often steps in for the third hour and was close friends with Jenna Bush Hager off-camera.
But Radar Online reports that their friendship is strained now. The two allegedly make subtle digs at each other constantly when hosting together. The feud reportedly started when Jenna Bush Hager didn’t get an invitation to Savannah Guthrie’s 2014 wedding to Michael Feldman.
Jenna once brought the slight up during the Today Show With Jenna & Friends. “And she claims we weren’t friends, but…” she said. Savannah Guthrie responded, “No, we were friends, but it was a small wedding. We can’t do this again.”
A source close to the show told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter that Savannah Guthrie was “furious” about being called out on live TV. “She’s begged Jenna to drop it, but Jenna keeps poking. It’s gone from playful to mean,” the source claimed.
The relationship between the women reportedly got worse when Jenna Bush Hager made a comment about Savannah Guthrie announcing her marriage and pregnancy at the same time.
“It crossed a line between friends. Savannah hasn’t forgiven her,” another insider said. The feud between Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager is reportedly causing “tension” on the show.
“They laugh for viewers, but the second the red light goes off, the silence is icy,” a source claimed.
