BREAKING: NBA Star Rookie 𝘑𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 After Wild P0lice Chase A Day Before Opening Night, Mugshot Released [PHOTO]

An NBA rookie has fallen afoul of the law just one day before the start of the 2025/26 season.

Indiana Pacers point guard Kam Jones must have been looking forward to his debut, which would have come later, following the team picking him in the second round of the draft this year. However, he has been arrested less than 48 hours before opening night, which might put that in jeopardy.

The guard is alleged to have led p0lice on a brief chase after they attempted to pull him over for driving erratically on southbound Interstate 65 around 9:50 AM on Monday.

He kept driving, with the pursuit ending near the Fletcher Avenue exit in downtown Indianapolis.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Jones has been charged with Class A misdemeanor reckless driving and a level six felony for resisting law enforcement.

His mugshot has since been released.

Kam Jones Yet To Suit Up For Pacers Due To Injury

The area has not been kind to sports personalities this month. Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested and charged following a confrontation that resulted in him getting stabbed and another individual badly hurt while in Indy to cover a game between the Colts and the Raiders.

“We are aware of the situation involving Kam Jones. We are in the process of gathering additional information and will not have any additional comment on the matter at this time,” the team told WTHR in a statement.

The Pacers front office could be pretty brutal, having recently released a player hours after he suffered a scary head injury minutes into his debut. How they handle this latest development remains to be seen.

Jones, a former standout at Marquette, was the 38th overall pick this year but hasn’t played due to a back injury, which kept him out of preseason and will leave him sidelined through early November.

He was expected to play for the Pacers G League affiliate, the Noblesville Boom after returning from injury.
