Donaldson was cited on July 27, 2023, according to documents seen by The U.S. Sun, and had to retain a lawyer.
He was accused of reckless driving to endanger after barreling along at 99 mph in a 70 mph zone, five years after being arrested for street racing.
In North Carolina, a reckless driving citation is a Class 2 misdemeanor and a criminal offense that can lead to fines up to $1,000, jail time, and a criminal record.
Donaldson was also cited for a tinted window violation, as the state’s legal limit is a minimum of 35 per cent total light transmission (VLT).

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Donaldson for comment.
Donaldson has been caught speeding before – he was busted back in January 2018 for racing in Tarboro, North Carolina.
He was arrested in 2018 and charged with speeding, reckless driving, and speed competition.
The incident involved him and another driver going 122 mph in a 70 mph zone.

He was detained and held on a $100,000 bond, and his mugshot was published by several news outlets.
Fans speculated that Donaldson was driving a BMW i8, as he had posted and later deleted a video showing his new purchase.
According to the Tar River Times, Donaldson and a friend were stopped around 2:30 am.
His friend was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol.
Police told the outlet initial efforts to identify the passenger were met with resistance, and the passenger was arrested for providing fictitious information and/or refusing to provide identification.
A search of his vehicle also yielded a loaded 9mm handgun and various rounds of ammunition.
In both the 2018 and 2023 cases, Donaldson’s charges were reduced, and he paid fines for simple speeding citations.
NEW VENTURES
On November 12, Donaldson was seen at the opening ceremony of the Beast Land theme park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
MrBeast is known for his large-scale challenges and stunts, and the pop-up park will see attendees competing for prizes worth over $533,000.
The park brings the stars’ “viral challenges and interactive games into real-life experiences for the first time, offering fans immersive and high-energy challenges plus huge prizes,” according to a press release.
It will be open until December 27, and challenges include the Tower Siege, Battle Bridge, Beast Summit, Lights Out, Drop Zone, Air Mail, Maze Run, Revolution, and the Warrior Challenge.
Donaldson, 27, said, “I didn’t want this to be like a typical theme park.”
Asked why he chose Saudi Arabia, he said it was because the majority of his audience is outside of America, and that he has a big Middle Eastern fan base.
BORROWING MONEY
Despite achieving international fame and having a net worth of around $500 million, Donaldson recently admitted he had to borrow money from his mom for his upcoming wedding.
He popped the question to his girlfriend, Thea Booysen, on Christmas Day last year.
Responding to a post on X that described MrBeast as “the only billionaire under 30 to have not inherited his wealth,” the YouTuber shocked fans with his response.
He revealed, “I personally have very little money because I reinvest everything (I think this year we’ll spend around a quarter of a billion on content).
“Ironically i’m actually borrowing $ from my mom to pay for my upcoming wedding lol.
“But sure, on paper the businesses I own are worth a lot.”
MrBeast met his future wife in 2022 when he was visiting her home country, South Africa.
The pair started later started dating and went public with a red carpet appearance at the Kids’ Choice Awards in April 2022.
After proposing, he told People, “I intentionally dropped a large box to make noise before presenting the real gift — with the ring inside — to her. And then I went down on a knee and proposed.
“I was trying to think of the best way to catch her off guard so it would be a surprise.
