The Indiana Fever have signed a former All-Star guard to help the offense with Caitlin Clark still sidelined.

On Sunday, the Fever announced that they have signed veteran Odyssey Sims to a hardship contract. The 33-year-old earned WNBA All-Star and All-WNBA Second Team honors in 2019 with the Minnesota Lynx, averaging 14.5 points, 5.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Earlier this week, the Fever announced that guards Aari McDonald (broken bone in her foot) and Sydney Colson (torn ACL) would miss the remainder of 2025. With Caitlin Clark still nursing a long-term groin injury, the Fever had roster space to bring in another player.

Until Caitlin Clark returns, the Fever will see if Odyssey Sims can spark the offense. She started the 2025 campaign with the Los Angeles Sparks but was waived after 12 games, averaging 9.8 points per game.

Indiana will return to the court on Tuesday night when they play host to the Dallas Wings (7:30 p.m. EST). The Fever have the fifth-best record in the WNBA (18-14), only 1.5 games behind the Phoenix Mercury for the No. 4 seed.

Clark hasn’t played since July 15 (an 85-77 victory over the Connecticut Sun). There’s still no timeline on when the 23-year-old will return, so Indiana’s other players will have to continue to step up in her absence.
