At least 23 people were injured, three of them critically, when an amusement park ride buckled in Saudi Arabia, sending passengers crashing to the ground.

Video of the incident shows the ride with “360 degrees” written atop it swinging back and forth before the arm with the spinning wheel carrying passengers snapped off the frame.

Riders can be heard screaming as the thrill ride turns into a nightmare.

According to reports, it happened on Wednesday at Green Mountain Park in Taif, Saudi Arabia.

Eyewitnesses said they saw riders had been injured even though they were strapped into their seats.

According to state-controlled outlet Arab News, Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the region’s governor, ordered the immediate closure of the resort while an investigation takes place.

How Social Media Reacted To The Amusement Park Ride In Saudi Arabia Snapping In Half

An amusement park ride malfunction in Saudi Arabia has reportedly left 23 people injured, with three critically hurt.

“Why did the worker run away instead of going to get people off?!?!” one person asked.

“Whoa. I hope nobody was hurt. I guess those rides aren’t risk-free,” a second person stated.

“That could had went way south real fast, if it flipped the other way 👀👀👀👀👀. Luck is not on their side, but something helped them flip the right way up 💯,” a third person added.

“How did it get past safety checks before carrying passengers? 🎢😳” A fourth person asked about the Saudi Arabia ride.

“Many lower-tier amusement parks have rides with serious structural deficiencies. I would know, I spent a summer working at a place with serious structural issues on multiple rides they forced us to run,” a fifth person wrote.

“I don’t do rides, because I am aware; The maintenance is done by humans and humans are FALLIBLE. Confirming my already justifiable paranoia of Carnival rides,” one final person commented.
