Machine Gun Kelly and Taylor Swift both watched the Kansas City Chiefs get smacked around by the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl 59 in February.
It was a sad night for both of them, as well as for Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, who was rendered ineffective by the pesky Philly defense.
MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, performed in New Orleans on the night of the game and attended the Super Bowl before his show, sitting in a box with Swift. He anticipated quite the night with the power couple, a “legendary” one in fact, with Swift promising they’d come to see him perform.
“At the beginning of it, Taylor was like, ‘Hell yeah, we’re gonna come watch you perform. It’s gonna be crazy tonight,” he told ABC News.
“Internally I was stoked, I was like ‘Oh, what a legendary night this is gonna be.”

The game didn’t go the way the favored Chiefs and Swift expected it to. KC experienced a blowout 40-22 loss and hadn’t even gotten on the scoresheet by the start of the third quarter, chasing a 34-0 Eagles lead.
Machine Gun Kelly figured Kelce and Swift probably wouldn’t be coming to his show anymore.
“By the third quarter, I was looking at that score, I went up to Taylor, I was like, ‘Y’all aren’t coming tonight, huh?” he recalled. “She was like, ‘I don’t think so, man. I’ll see if I can get him to get out but I don’t think…”
Kelly was looking forward to a repeat after partying with Kelce, Swift, and his ex-fiancée Megan Fox in Las Vegas after the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, having all headed to the Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World in the wake of the 25-22 win.
The rapper and Fox have since split. Kelce and Swift are still together but have had a pretty subdued offseason, with the tight end even considering retirement before deciding to come back for another run at a fourth Super Bowl ring.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
