Christian Wilkins needs to do some self-reflection.
Surprisingly, the Raiders released him last week after a disagreement about his foot injury. It seems there was another incident that helped the team come to that decision.
Las Vegas voided the $35.2 million of guaranteed money left on Wilkins’ contract last month. He originally signed a 4-year, $110 million deal with the Raiders last offseason.
The Raiders reportedly voided the rest of Wilkins’ guaranteed money due to how he rehabbed the season-ending injury to his left foot, per Adam Schefter.
On Monday, more disturbing news came out about why they had come to that decision.
Christian Wilkins allegedly “playfully” attempted to kiss a teammate on his forehead. He may have thought it was funny, but the unknown teammate did not.
The teammate “felt offended by it” & then reported the incident to the team.
His behavior ultimately led to him losing a lot of money.
Wilkins has recorded 371 tackles, 56 quarterback hits, 45 tackles for loss, 22.5 sacks, and 19 passes defensed across 86 career games with the Raiders and Miami Dolphins.

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel revealed that the team will discuss a potential contract agreement with defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.
Vrabel told reporters Friday that New England will “have a conversation” about signing him following his release from the Raiders last week.
The Patriots are looking to improve on both sides of the ball following a pair of 4-13 finishes in 2023 and 2024.
The Patriots could also bring in Wilkins as they attempt to bolster their run defense. In that area, they ranked No. 23 in the NFL last season by allowing 131.4 yards per game on the ground.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
